"Why Can't I Connect?" Custom Specification Tool
This tool creates an easily transferable specification file for your "Why Can't I Connect?" custom user interface.
Set the connection parameters for standard servers under the Common Connections tab. Activate the servers you wish to show in your menus and / or toolbar. These connections do not need to be activated here for use in scripts.
Activate POP3 Server In The Menu And Toolbar
POP3 will be available in the menu and toolbar.
Show The POP3 Server Dialog
Allow the user to view and change the default values. If not checked, the connection attempt will execute immediately when the menu or toolbar item is selected.
Custom Connections
Describe the connections to your custom servers here.
Choose Icon
Select the icon that will show in the menu and toolbar for your custom connection. Select the blank icon if you wish to supply your own icon or you want more choices.

Connection Name
The connection name will be used as the menu text for this connection.
Expect A Response After The Connection Succeeds
After a successful connection, the application will wait for a response within the receive timeout.

Select an icon, name your script, and add script elements. Describe your script with as little or as much detail as you are comfortable with. We will work together to get the script to match exactly to your needs.
Special Instructions
A special instruction is a free form instruction for any other specifications for your application.
WcicCustomSpec.xml is the default specification file and your document directory is the default location. The Save button will save your specification. The Open button will open an existing specification.

Release 1.9.1
Release 1.9.1 is now available.
In this release:
1. Changed the url of the Knowledge Base to match the website redesign.
2. A minor cosmetic change.
3. A minor bug fix.
The new website design is friendlier but required a remapping of the pages.
I removed the border around the visible trace list.
If loading the dll for ICMP fails, I disabled the neighbors tool. I now only disable the use of ICMP echo requests. ICMP is only available in Windows installs.
